As one of the crew said before the Oct. 19th trail work, 'A quiet day isn't a bad thing' and that's exactly what it turned out to be! The plan for the day was some final detail work on the stretch of Sequoia Trail between Sempervirens Falls and Slippery Rock as we get ready for our next assignment.
The tasks included widening a short section of trail and moving the debris down to Sky Meadow Rd, cutting to ground level a LOT of stubs that had been left along several sections of trail shoulder the past couple of workdays, and raking the final debris from the trail so we had a nice finished product. (Note - Despite finishing work on the current stretch of trail, it will not be open for use until after the 2024-25 winter season.)

The next project for the Crew will the section of Sequoia on the 'other side of 236' heading down toward North Escape Rd. When completed, it will open another loop trail in post-CZU fire Big Basin.
