The beginning of 2021 still has the BBVTC locked out of the Park. There are signs things are improving. The Mother and Father of the Forest should recover but time will tell.

What is keeping the Trail Crew out of the park is the hazards of potential Douglas Fir falling. Crews are clearing out the Firs along the roads.

There are signs of new life with Firs, Huckleberry, and Redwoods sprout from the ground and new growth sprouting from the Redwoods too. Redwoods sprout from stumps but they can also sprout new growth from their roots.
