Morning Fog
With large crews it is sometimes easy to relax and lose focus on the work thinking that we'll automatically make good progress while smaller crews require continual attention in order to make headway.
The guesstimate going into our Oct. 4th workday was that it would take 1+ days to finish the remaining work on East Ridge Trail up to the junction of Pine Mtn Trail (green section on map) and with a small crew of 13 we knew we would need to stay focused.

And thanks to the efforts of everyone we made better than expected progress as we removed down trees from the trail, felled hazard trees, cut back brush and built four burn piles for all the debris we were collecting.
By the end of the day we finished all the work to the trail juncture and even had time left to clear some burn pile locations for the next section of trail to be cleared.
The crew put in 99 hours and thanks to Fremont Bainbridge, Jim Brooks, Rory Brooks, Karen Cheeniyil, Santhosh Cheeniyil, John Collins, Michele Gelblum, Tommy Ha, Joe Mitchell, Mike Peasland, Brian Washburn, Chris Young, and newcomer Laurel Enders, for helping make it a very satisfying workday.
