The Trail Crew's Dec. 2nd work unrolled much the same as the Nov. 18th workday with gray, sometimes drizzly skies, and the Crew was back on the short Blooms Creek Connector Trail between the Redwood Loop Trail and the old Blooms Creek Campground.
With the trail mostly cleared of debris on the earlier workday, the Dec. 2nd effort focused on using a grip-hoist to move several large trees from the trail corridor, taking out a couple of large roots from the tread base, and restoring the grade and leveling the trail along most of its 1/4 mile length.
By the end of the day the work had been largely completed with only the final 15 or so yards before the Redwood Loop still needing to be fine tuned.
The crew put in 135 hours and thanks to Daryn Bieri, Jim Brooks, Rory Brooks, John Collins, Denis DeCeuster, Dale Elliott, Mimi Guiney, Marc Koenig, Andrea Lee, Janie Leifhelm, John Martin, Mike Peasland, Corrie Potter, Mihir Sathe, Devdutt Sheth, Nico Wendell and Chris Young, for the support on another damp , but not too wet, workday.
